THIS IS A WEEKEND POSITION AS NEDEED

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
• Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in the system.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
• Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the dental team to improve office efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical records management.
• Ability to take X-rays safely while following established protocols.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is an advantage.
