About the Role

We’re looking for a German-speaking Customer Service & Operations Executive to become the voice of Partao for our DACH customers.

You’ll help our customers find what they need, keep them informed as their orders move through the process, and make sure every interaction feels personal, fast, and reliable. Most of your day will be spent helping customers — answering queries, tracking orders, resolving issues — but you’ll also occasionally jump into operations or procurement tasks to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

This is a role for someone who genuinely cares about customers, enjoys solving problems, and doesn’t shy away from the beautiful chaos of a fast-moving startup.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming requests from German-speaking customers by email, Whatapp, SMS and phone.
  • Manage order updates, delivery tracking, and resolution of any customer issues.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with suppliers and internal teams to keep information flowing.
  • Ensure every customer touchpoint reflects Partao’s values of speed, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Occasionally support supplier follow-ups, shipment tracking, and onboarding coordination.
  • Capture and report on recurring issues or trends to help improve our customer experience.
  • Handle sensitive customer and supplier data securely, in line with company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement of our operations processes as we scale.

Requirements

  • Fluency in German (C1/C2) and strong English communication skills.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in Customer Service, Customer Success, or Operations Support — ideally in a startup, marketplace, or e-commerce environment.
  • Excellent written communication, attention to detail, and empathy for customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets and digital tools to track data and performance.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with drop-shipping, multi-vendor, or marketplace environments.
  • Experience working in a marketplace, industrial/long-tail B2B environment, or sectors like construction, agriculture, or automotive
  • Prior role in an early-stage startup with budget responsibility and autonomy
  • You love making things faster, cleaner, and more efficient — whether that's automation, a dashboard, or a clever ChatGPT shortcut.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: E£80,000.00 - E£90,000.00 per month
