Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, incorporating various styles such as ballet, theater dance, and contemporary movement.
- Lead engaging and energetic dance classes that motivate students to improve technique, coordination, and performance skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners.
- Provide personalized tutoring and feedback to help students progress in their dance journey.
- Incorporate elements of choreography, lesson planning, and performance preparation into class sessions.
- Work with students on special education needs or early childhood development programs to ensure inclusive participation.
- Capture high-quality photographs or videos of performances or classes for promotional purposes or student portfolios.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, or contemporary movement with classroom management skills.
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to diverse age groups including preschoolers and adults.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience working with children or students with special needs.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for early childhood education or preschool settings.
- Experience in choreography, stage performance, or theatrical productions is a plus.
- Additional skills in photography, sewing (for costume adjustments), culinary arts (for event planning), childcare, or working with students with behavioral challenges are beneficial but not required.
