Dance Instructor and Choreographer

Job Summary
We are seeking energetic and passionate Dance Instructors and Choreographers to inspire students of all ages through the art of dance. We are currently hiring dance educators experienced in a variety of styles, with a particular need for instructors specializing in tap and tumbling, for summer 2026 and the 2026–2027 dance season. In this dynamic role, you will develop engaging curricula, teach various dance styles, and craft captivating choreography that encourages creativity, discipline, and confidence. Your enthusiasm for dance and education will motivate learners to explore their potential while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of dancers and performers.

Responsibilities

  • Design comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels, including ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hiphop, jazz funk, tap, tumbling/acro
  • Teach group classes and individual lessons to students of diverse ages, from early childhood to young adult learners.
  • Develop innovative choreography for performances, recitals, and competitions that showcase students’ talents.
  • Manage classroom environments effectively by implementing behavior management strategies and maintaining a safe space for learning.
  • Incorporate educational techniques such as lesson planning, classroom management, and working with children or students with special needs.
  • Support students’ artistic growth through tutoring, feedback, and encouragement while fostering a love for dance.

Experience

  • Degree or certification in dance, or equivalent professional training and experience in dance education or performance.
  • Proven experience in teaching dance classes across various age groups, including preschool, early childhood education, or teens.
  • Strong background in choreography creation and curriculum development within dance or performing arts programs.
  • Familiarity with classroom experience in educational or recreational environments; experience working with children or students with special needs is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles to support a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Prior experience in dance or stage performance enhances the ability to prepare students for live presentations. Join us in inspiring movement and creativity!
