Dance Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to inspire students of all ages to discover the joy of movement and self-expression through dance. Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to various skill levels and age groups, including ballet, theater dance, and other styles.
  • Lead engaging dance classes that promote proper technique, coordination, rhythm, and artistry.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for all students.
  • Provide individualized feedback and tutoring to support each student’s progress and confidence.
  • Plan special performances or showcases that highlight students’ talents and celebrate their achievements.
  • Incorporate elements of choreography, stage presence, and theatrical expression into lessons.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, progress reports, and lesson plans aligned with educational standards.

Skills

  • Expertise in dance styles such as ballet, theater dance, hip hop and contemporary movement.
  • Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to different age groups.
  • Proven classroom management skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Experience working with children, preschoolers, or early childhood education environments.
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline and positive conduct.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods for special education needs or students requiring additional support.
  • Familiarity with photography or videography for documenting performances or student progress.
  • Experience in theater arts or stage production to enhance theatrical dance instruction.
  • Skills in childcare or childcare-related activities to support young learners’ development.
  • Competence in sewing or costume design can be an added creative asset for performance preparation.
