Dangerous Goods Operations & Business Development Lead

AXL Cargo Solution FZCO, a fast-growing logistics and freight forwarding company based in Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZA), is looking for a results-orientedDG Operations & Business Development Lead to join our dynamic team.

Role Description

We are expanding our operations and are looking for an experienced DG Operations & Business Development Lead to establish, manage, and grow our Dangerous Goods Department. This role combines DG operations leadership with business development and client management, supporting both operational excellence and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities :

* Establish, develop, and manage the Dangerous Goods Department

* Ensure safe handling, storage, transportation, and documentation of dangerous goods

* Maintain full compliance with UAE and international DG regulations (IATA DGR, IMDG, ADR, etc.)

* Coordinate and oversee customs clearance for DG shipments

* Develop SOPs, workflows, and best practices for DG operations

* Train and guide staff on DG handling, safety, and compliance procedures

* Work closely with Operations, Customs, and Authorities to ensure smooth DG movements

* Support business development initiatives related to DG shipments

* Identify new DG business opportunities and support sales growth

Requirements :

- Minimum 3 years of UAE experience handling Dangerous Goods shipments

- Valid UAE DG certifications (IATA DGR, IMDG , ADR etc.)

- Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and international DG regulations

- Proven experience in setting up processes and managing DG operations

- Demonstrated exposure to business development, sales support, or client handling

- Ability to coordinate with clients on DG requirements, compliance, and solutions

- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Must be based in the UAE and available for immediate joining
