Dark Web/OSINT Forensic Senior Consultant

Job Description / About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Dark Web/OSINT Forensic Expert – Senior Consultant to lead investigations and intelligence gathering from the dark web, deep web, and open-source platforms. The role involves digital evidence collection, cyber threat analysis, cryptocurrency tracking, and coordinating with law enforcement or government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand surface web, deep web, and dark web distinctions and access methods
• Utilize tools like Tor and anonymizing services; apply encryption knowledge for communication/data security
• Conduct digital forensic evidence collection, preservation, and analysis from computers and digital devices
• Track network traffic and detect suspicious activities linked to dark web involvement
• Gather intelligence from publicly available sources related to dark web activities
• Analyze cryptocurrency transactions and trace illicit payments
• Use specialized tools for dark web searches, data extraction, and anonymized communication
• Extract and examine digital evidence to identify perpetrators and trace criminal operations
• Participate in joint investigations or task forces with government and law enforcement agencies
• Continuously monitor for leaked credentials, sensitive data, or compromised information
• Maintain proper forensic documentation and follow standard evidence-handling procedures
• Utilize digital forensic techniques and standard computer forensic tools

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in dark web investigations, data leak monitoring, negotiation, and OSINT
• Hands-on experience with dark web / deep web technologies
• Strong foundation in digital forensics and cybersecurity principles
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain transactions
• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA / PG from a recognized university/institution
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, or related fields
• Industry certifications such as GCFA, CHFI, CEH, GREM, CISSP, GCFE, GNFA, OSCP, OSEE, OSCE, CREST, or equivalent preferred
• Excellent analytical, investigative, reporting, and communication skills
