Data Analyst

About the Role

Horizon Tech is hiring a Data Analyst to strengthen our Data Analytics function within the Technology team. Reporting to the Head of Product Data, you will play a crucial role in transforming business needs into actionable data insights, reports, and automation solutions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams - including operations, product, and leadership – to develop dashboards, build data models, and automate key reporting pipelines. Your expertise in Python, SQL, Power BI, Looker Studio, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) will help drive efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across our clinics and corporate operations.

Based in Pakistan, you’ll collaborate with distributed teams across time zones, ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and meaningful for business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Business Insight

· Partner with stakeholders to understand business requirements and define measurable KPIs.

· Perform data exploration, cleaning, and transformation to extract actionable insights.

· Present analyses and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Dashboarding & Reporting

· Design and maintain dynamic dashboards and reports in Power BI and Looker Studio.

· Build interactive visualizations to monitor performance, trends, and operational efficiency.

· Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting layers.

SQL & Database Management

· Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, aggregation, and validation.

· Collaborate with engineers to maintain and improve data pipelines and warehouse performance.

· Create views, stored procedures, and joins to support analytics workflows.

Automation & Scripting

· Use Python for automating recurring reporting tasks, data validation, and ETL processes.

· Develop scripts to streamline workflows, reduce manual dependencies, and improve reliability.

· Integrate APIs and third-party tools to enhance data accessibility and automation.

Cloud & Data Infrastructure

· Work within Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - primarily BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Data Studio.

· Manage data ingestion and transformation pipelines within GCP. Documentation Governance

· Maintain documentation for datasets, metrics definitions, and automation processes.

· Ensure clarity and traceability of data sources and business rules.

· Support data governance and compliance practices across the organization.

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

· 2-3 years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or Data Engineer in a technology-driven environment.

· Hands-on expertise in:

§ Python (pandas, NumPy, automation scripts)

§ SQL (advanced query writing, joins, CTEs, optimization)

§ Power BI and Looker Studio (dashboarding, DAX, data modeling)

§ Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage)

· Proven experience building automated data pipelines and integrating multiple data sources.

Skills & Attributes

· Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to data accuracy.

· Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

· Ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions.

· Familiarity with Agile workflows and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Git).

· Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks in parallel.

· Onsite. Suite No. 2002, 2nd Floor, Parveen Building, D-7, Shaheed-e-Millat Road, Bangalore Town, Block A, Karachi 75350, Sindh, Pakistan.

Schedule:

· Work hours 3 PM to 12 AM PKT (Mon - Fri)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs180,000.00 - Rs220,000.00 per month
