Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Data Analyst to support the digitisation and optimisation of insurance policy data. This role will begin with hands-on data entry and validation of customer insurance documents, with the long-term objective of contributing to process automation using machine learning (ML). The ideal candidate will bring insurance industry experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for improving data quality and workflow efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Validation
  • Accurately extract and input data from insurance policy documents into the designated User Interface (UI).
  • Validate data to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with Data Governance (DG) standards.
  • Data Cleansing & Quality Assurance
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or missing information and correct them as per established guidelines.
  • Maintain high-quality standards while managing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • Process Documentation
  • Create clear, step-by-step documentation outlining the data entry and cleansing workflow.
  • Update process guides as tools, requirements, or workflows evolve.
  • Automation & Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with the data and product teams to identify opportunities for automation using ML and other technologies.
  • Provide insights to streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and improve overall data quality.

Required

  • 2–3 years of experience in the insurance industry as an Underwriting Assistant, Broker Account Manager, or similar role.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high data accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • A strong willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.

Preferred

  • Experience in Specialty & Risk insurance.
  • Prior exposure to the Marine or Aviation insurance sector.
