Position: Data Analyst

Position Number: H25-021

Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

Reports to: Vice President of Solutions Innovation

Location: Remote

Job description and what you’ll do: ARI is seeking a highly motivated and versatile Data Analyst to support our program execution team. This is a critical, hands-on role where you will be involved with the entire data lifecycle—from collaborating with program leads on defining data needs and ensuring quality, to applying advanced statistical analysis, and ultimately communicating actionable insights directly to program leadership.

The ideal candidate must be a proactive self-starter with proven strengths in quantitative methods, data architecture best practices, and visualization, coupled with strong communication skills necessary to translate findings into strategic recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

Statistical Analysis & Insights Ownership

  • End-to-End Analysis: Design and execute statistically rigorous analysis (e.g., A/B testing, regression, correlation) to evaluate program effectiveness, measure ROI, and optimize execution strategies.
  • Forecasting & Modeling: Develop and own predictive models to forecast program success metrics and potential risks.
  • Interpretation: Translate complex results into clear, concise, and definitive recommendations for program leaders.

Data Architecture & Management

  • Data Integrity & Sourcing: Act as the internal owner of data quality. Define necessary metrics, ensure program data is captured accurately, and perform necessary clean-up and validation.
  • ETL/Data Prep: Collaborate with the platform team to write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries to extract and prepare data from source systems, functioning as the primary interface between the program data and the rest of the organization.
  • Tool Integration: Collaborate with the platform team to create and maintain the connection between data sources and visualization tools.

Reporting & Visualization

  • Standard Reporting: Own the creation and distribution of data for recurring program reports and key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strategic Visualization: Design and implement high-impact visualizations that tell a clear story, allowing executive and program teams to quickly understand performance and required actions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly articulate analytical findings, methodology assumptions, and data limitations to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data literacy across the program team.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance or other government agency equivalent
  • Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Quantitative Analysis, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proficiency in SQL with a proven ability to handle data extraction, cleaning, and preparation independently.
  • Proficiency in applying statistical methods and modeling using Python or R.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, build, and maintain operational and strategic dashboards using a major BI tool (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with a track record of successfully influencing business decisions through data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
