Data Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team. Responsibilities

• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
• Design and optimise database schemas using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational database systems.
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data efficiently.
• Utilise programming languages such as R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) for data processing and automation tasks.
• Support project management activities by contributing to the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) processes.
• Conduct business analysis to determine data needs and recommend improvements for existing systems.
• Create detailed documentation using Visio for system architecture, workflows, and processes.
• Assist in database design projects ensuring data integrity, security, and performance optimisation.

Requirements

• Proven experience with data analysis tools including Tableau, Power BI, R, Python, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell).
• Strong understanding of SQL databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write advanced queries.
• Knowledge of database design principles and optimisation techniques.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and project management practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
• Experience in business analysis to identify key metrics and reporting needs.
• Proficiency in analysing requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate findings effectively through visualisations and reports tailored for diverse audiences.
• Organised with strong attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
