This position is located in the Department of Health (DC Health) within the Health Systems and Preparedness Administration (HSPA), Office of Emergency Preparedness and Resilience (OEPR), Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program office. The incumbent candidate for this position will have the unique opportunity serve as a principal analyst for data projects related to EMS and support public health and emergency preparedness. The EMS Data Analyst within the EMS Program office will work under the general direction of the EMS Program Manager to lead EMS data analysis and other projects that support the EMS program.

Qualifications and Education
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position and has equipped the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, the incumbent must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
Preferred Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, emergency management, or health-related fields, or a: A bachelor's degree in public health, public administration, emergency management, or health related fields or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development of planning, strategic development, public policy development, or public health.

Working Conditions / Environment
The incumbent must be able to carry out official duties in a variety of settings and conditions. Routine work will occur primarily in an office setting.
