Data Analyst

Summary:

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting actionable insights from large and complex datasets, driving data-driven decision-making, and supplying strategic guidance to enhance business performance. You will collaborate closely with key contacts across the organization, including data analysts and engineers, business stakeholders, and executives, to find trends, develop analytical models, and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner.

This position will help support the company’s reporting systems and analysis projects including evaluation, recommendation, and implementations of systems and data processes to improve efficiencies and cost savings. Ongoing production support including troubleshooting data issues, maintaining data integrity through development lifecycle.

This position will work closely with the Data Systems Engineer position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Visualization:

· Conduct comprehensive analysis of structured and unstructured data to find patterns, trends, and correlations.

· Develop visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate complex data analysis results.

· Pull data from wide range of sources, using facts/data to derive conclusions and distill complex analytical findings into cohesive communications to upper management

· Act as liaison between key stakeholders and data team to help translate business requirements into actionable report design

· Utilize visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI (Business Intelligence), to present information in a concise and impactful manner.

Business Strategy and Support:

· Collaborate with business stakeholders and executives to understand their analytical needs and supply data-driven insights that support strategic decision making.

· Find key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to measure and track business performance.

· Work closely with data, operations, and sales teams and other stakeholders internally and externally to define data requirements, develop analytical models, and integrate data-driven solutions into existing systems or products.

· Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and visualization.

· Find opportunities to enhance data analysis methodologies, tools, and processes, and drive their implementation.

· Aid with strategic decisions on new systems and data processes.

· Supply technical expertise on data storage, structure, process, cleaning, and manipulation as it relates to reporting and visualization.

Data Integrity and Projects:

· Manage the company’s reporting environments including user provisioning and oversight.

· Support the companies’ data projects and initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion.

· Train end users on new reports, dashboards, and our reporting tools, such as Tableau and Power BI.

· Troubleshoot the reporting database environment and reports and quickly and effectively solution corrections.

· Help to maintain data accuracy and integrity through business change, including all facets of development lifecycle (design, develop, test, rollout)

Qualifications:

· Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years related experience.

· Proficient in Excel, Access and PowerPoint

· Experienced in Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)

· Skilled in report development and data analysis

· SQL experience preferred (MS SQL Server)

· Experience with statistical methods and analysis tools a plus (Python, R)

· Agriculture Industry experience preferred

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
