The Data Analyst serves as a critical contributor to Growth Ortho’s data and analytics strategy, responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive financial and operational decisions across the organization. Working closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs, translates those needs into analytical solutions, and ensures data accuracy and integrity. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that support financial, operational, and strategic initiatives. This position requires strong analytical, financial, and technical skills in t-SQL, Power BI, and data modeling, combined with the ability to communicate complex findings in clear, business-friendly language. The Data Analyst also supports automation of reporting processes, maintains documentation of metrics and data definitions, and contributes to the organization's data governance and quality initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, statistics, business analytics, information systems, or a related field required - equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role
- Strong analytical thinking with a track record of turning data into actionable business recommendations
- Proven experience conducting root cause analysis to diagnose data anomalies, system issues, and business performance gaps
- Proven ability to work with SQL and relational databases to extract, transform, and analyze data
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing Power BI dashboards and reports in a professional environment
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions
Job Knowledge
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
- Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Advanced Power BI development, including data modeling, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), Power Query (M language), and report/dashboard design
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management
- Basic statistical analysis and data validation techniques
- Understanding of data security and privacy considerations in reporting environments

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support decision-making across departments (Finance, Operations, HR, Marketing, etc.)
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases
- Develop and maintain data models in Power BI that support scalable, efficient reporting
- Analyze data from multiple sources, including databases, APIs, Excel files, and cloud platforms
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical needs, gather requirements, and deliver solutions that address business questions
- Create and maintain DAX measures and calculated columns to support complex analytical requirements
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reports and dashboards
- Conduct exploration data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Provide ongoing insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic and operational initiatives
- Support data quality initiatives by identifying and resolving data issues and inconsistencies
- Train and support end users on how to use Power BI reports and self-service analytics tools
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Good visual acuity, hand-finger dexterity, ability to speak and hear
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally (e.g., laptop, equipment)
