Data Analyst

Job Summary

Duties

• Collect, clean, and organize large datasets using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and ETL processes to ensure data integrity and readiness for analysis.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports utilizing Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other visualization platforms to communicate insights effectively.
• Conduct business analysis by identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies within data sets to inform strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with project teams following Agile methodologies to deliver timely analytics solutions aligned with project goals.
• Manage the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for analytics projects, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop database schemas and optimize database design using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems to support efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Utilize scripting languages such as VBA and Bash (Unix shell) for automation tasks and data processing workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams on business analysis projects involving linked data integration and database management.
• Apply project management principles to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure quality standards across all analytics deliverables.

Skills

• Proficiency in data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to create compelling dashboards.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Talend for extracting, transforming, and loading data efficiently.
• Programming skills in R and Python for statistical analysis and advanced analytics modeling.
• Familiarity with SDLC processes for managing analytics projects from inception to deployment.
• Expertise in business analysis techniques to interpret data within a strategic context.
• Database design skills with experience in schema development and optimization.
• Knowledge of linked data concepts for integrating disparate datasets across platforms.
• Ability to utilize VBA scripting for automation within Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working in Agile environments with project management tools like Visio or similar planning software.
• Strong analysis skills combined with a comprehensive understanding of analytics methodologies to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets. Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
