Job Overview

Murphy Painters, Inc., a leading Florida-based painting company specialising in high-quality commercial and residential projects, is seeking a meticulous and insightful Data Analyst to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Alabama Fork, Alabama. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our business forward by transforming data into actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction. You will be at the heart of our decision-making process, supporting our commitment to excellent service and quality craftsmanship through data-driven strategies. The offered salary for this role is $45 - $55 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

 

  • Collect, interpret, and analyse data related to project costs, labour efficiency, and material usage to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
  • Analyse sales and client data to understand market trends, measure customer satisfaction, and support strategic planning.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to optimise pricing strategies, resource allocation, and operational workflows.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to understand their data requirements and provide analytical support.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within our company systems, performing regular data cleansing and validation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A proactive and independent worker who can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience within the construction or trade services industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
