Data Analyst and bookkeeper

Job Summary

The Bookkeeper and Data Analyst position will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring timely reporting. This role supports the Fractional CFO and Controller on various client projects.

Key Roles:

1.Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers

o Accurately input data into accounting systems for all company transactions

o Monitor and update general ledgers, ensuring completeness and accuracy

o Assist in the development of bookkeeping procedures to improve efficiency

2. Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements

o Perform monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards

o Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records

o Prepare adjusting entries as necessary for accurate financial reporting

3. Process invoices, payments, and payroll

o Create and send invoices

o Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payments

o Manage payroll processing, including tax calculations and deductions

4. Generate financial reports and support month-end closing

o Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

o Assist in month-end closing procedures, including accruals and journal entries

o Support processes for financial analysis and reporting

5. Support various client related projects related to data management and analysis

Requirements:

· Experience with QuickBooks Online

· Intermediate Excel Skills

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Familiarity with GAAP

Preferred Qualifications:

· Degree in accounting or finance

· 3-5 Years bookkeeping Experience in small business environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
