The Data Analyst supports the sale and tracking of energy and environmental commodities produced by anaerobic digestion facilities, including renewable natural gas (RNG), electricity, and carbon credits (e.g., CFR, RINs, LCFS, RECs). This role is focused on data management, contract support, and market research. The Analyst will work closely with the operations, finance, policy, and business development teams to ensure accurate reporting and help optimize revenue. This position offers strong exposure to renewable energy and carbon markets, environmental analysis tools, and commercial strategy in a growing company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support administration of energy offtake agreements, including tracking, pricing and delivery schedules
- Help prepare documentation for verification, audits, and reporting
- Ensure data accuracy and completeness for compliance purposes; compile market data and summarize trends for internal stakeholders
- Maintain organized records of contracts, amendments, and counterparties
- Track production volumes, energy sales, and environmental credit generation
- Maintain spreadsheets and internal systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date data
- Prepare regular reports on production, sales, pricing, and revenue
- Monitor carbon credit markets (CFR, RINS, LCFs, RECs)
- Support pricing analysis and benchmarking efforts
- Work with operations teams to confirm production and delivery data
- Support finance with revenue tracking and reconciliation
- Assist commercial team with ad hoc analysis and deal support
- Support policy team by developing one-pagers and informing outlook on incoming policies/programs
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Education/Licenses/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field
Knowledge & Experience
- Two (2) or more years’ experience of related work experience, or master’s degree
- Experience in renewable energy, circular economy, sustainability or commodity markets a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills (comfort with math, statistics, and building models to support forecasting and decision-making)
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience with PowerBI preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability
- Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support, and collaboration amongst coworkers
- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage time across competing priorities
- Ability to be a team-player for overall company success

Remote, with 15% travel required
