Data Analytics and Planning Intern

Petrobras America Inc. is looking for undergraduate and graduate students to participate in a 3 month summer internship from June 01, 2026 to August 31, 2026 within our Corporate Planning/IT area. If you are currently enrolled in a third year or higher of a Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Systems, Computer Science, or other closely related technology-focused disciplines, or enrolled in a Graduate program with at least half of your program completed, then we invite you to apply!

The intern will be involved in the following projects:

Understand project scope and stakeholders

Gather business requirements

Design database schema

Validate schema with stakeholders

Create database tables in Oracle

Integrate budget data

Integrate actuals data

Data validation and QA

Develop dashboards/reports

Enhance reporting automation

Document database and processes

Final review and presentation

The intern will have the following responsibilities:

Review objectives, meet Finance/IT teams

Document needs for G&A and Sales tracking

Define cost centers, tables, relationships

Review with Finance and IT

Implement schema

Load planned financial data

Connect real financial data

Ensure accuracy and consistency

Budget vs actual insights

Optimize queries and outputs

User guides, definitions

Deliver final solution and insights

Additional Information:

Petrobras America Inc. seeks a junior/senior student who can understand SQL,business data in Oracle, and communicate clearly across teams. The intern will collaborate with Finance (FP&A), Accounting, and IT teams to translate business requirements into a functional database solution, while leveraging modern tools including coding and emerging Al capabilities where applicable.
