About This Internship
Arch’s internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry. It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills. Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
About This Role
Collect, clean, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
Perform basic descriptive and trending analysis.
Partner with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions for their challenges.
Compile analysis results into structured reports, ensuring clarity and coherence. This involves writing summaries and conclusions based on data analysis.
Utilize version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage changes to analysis scripts and documentation, ensuring that updates are tracked, and previous versions can be retrieved if necessary.
Qualifications
Actively completing graduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related program.
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
College level – Junior or Senior student with graduation dates between December 2026 and May 2027.
Proficiency in SQL and Pythton required. Awareness of additional analytics tools/languages a plus.
Fundamental understanding of data visualization tools and design, including Tableau or Power BI, preferred.
Familiarity with cloud-based technologies required. Exposure to Azure preferred.
Data governance familiarity and framework experience with Data Quality, Meta Data Management, Data Lineage, Data Management Principles (Data Storage) a plus.
Proficient in MS Office suite of tools and in particular Excel and PowerPoint
Broad analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
Team player who collaborates effectively.
Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks/priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Work Arrangement
The program dates are June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026.
This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This position is located in Washington, DC.
Relocation and housing assistance is not provided for this role.
