The Opportunity

Star Systems India Private Limited is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Data Analytics & Visualization Training Consultant for a critical 3-month on-site engagement in Chennai.

We are looking for an expert dedicated to empowering our students with advanced, real-world skills in the complete data lifecycle—from robust data cleaning and structuring to advanced visualization, modeling, and effective data storytelling, as outlined in our "Data Analytics & Visualization" course.

Key Responsibilities

As a Consultant Trainer, your core responsibilities will be centered on delivering the "Data Analytics & Visualization" syllabus with practical, industry-aligned expertise:

• Curriculum Delivery: Conducting dynamic, hands-on training sessions with deep dives into:
• Data Wrangling: Applying tools like Excel, SQL, Power Query, and Python (Pandas) to import, clean, and structure multi-source datasets.
• Visualization & Reporting: Designing interactive dashboards and advanced charts using Power BI and Tableau for executive reporting and decision-making.
• Modeling: Building and validating predictive and causal models to derive meaningful business insights and recommendations.
• Communication: Developing strong data storytelling and presentation skills to effectively communicate data narratives.
• Material Development: Creating, updating, and refining high-quality training materials, hands-on labs, and project-based assessment modules related to the data analytics stack.
• Mentorship & Practical Application: Providing guidance, troubleshooting complex data challenges, and facilitating project-based learning to ensure participants can effectively apply data skills in business and research contexts.

Requirements:

• Expertise (Mandatory): Minimum of 2+ years of professional experience in a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence (BI) Developer, or Data Scientist role, with mandatory hands-on experience in at least three of the following tools: Excel (Advanced), SQL, Python (Pandas), Power BI, or Tableau.
• Training Experience: Proven experience in a Technical Training, teaching, or corporate mentoring role is a significant plus.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts and modeling clearly and engagingly.
• Contract Ready: Ability to commit to a 3-month, on-site consulting engagement in Chennai.
• Career Flexibility: Individuals currently on a career break are strongly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the EdTech or corporate training sector focusing on business intelligence or data science is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience designing and deploying enterprise-level dashboards or reports.
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
