Description:
This position will be full time (40 hours per week) on site in Pittsburg, Kansas for at least the first 6 months of employment. May become eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangement, but employee must reside within Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, or Arkansas. If remote or hybrid work arrangement is approved, employee will be expected to report to Pittsburg, Kansas upon request and may be called back to working in Pittsburg, Kansas location full time.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
CHC/SEK is dedicated to leveraging data to drive decision-making and optimize performance. The Data and Analytics Specialist will manage complex data and deliver insights that shape our strategies and initiative, enhancing business & clinical operations. This position will play a key role and support the organization in value-based care arrangements. This position collaborates with various departments to recognize opportunities for process improvement by identifying trends and patterns in complex data sets.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Extract, compile, analyze, manipulate, and maintain data from multiple systems for regular and custom reporting.

Analyze clinical, operational, financial, and other business data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement with the ability to translate data findings into insights.

Develop, maintain, and distribute routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and other visuals to support organizational goals and decision making, enhancing operational efficiency and stewardship, assist with strategic planning, forecasting, and predictive analytics.

Assist in the preparation and validation of reports required for regulatory agencies, such as UDS, HRSA, CMS, and other grant-related or required reporting.

Monitor and evaluate data accuracy and data downloads across systems, identifying discrepancies and collaborate with other departments to resolve data quality and software, hardware concerns.

Prepare and present reports on data findings into relevant and easy to understand information.

Provide training and tools for interpretation and self-service analytics, developing user guides for internal reporting systems and dashboards.

Collaborate with departments to understand data and reporting needs, support initiatives, champion data-informed decision making, and supply high-quality output solutions.

Provide recommendations on data analytics tools, new functionality, streamlined approaches, and emerging technologies to enhance analytics capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Business, or related field

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in data analytics or a related field, strongly preferred experience in healthcare.

Experience and strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI), statistical programming languages, data warehousing, data mining, predictive modeling techniques, and SQL.

Experience in converting raw data into visually appealing dashboards, reports, and visualization that allow for actionable insights.
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, up to entire shift; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Prolonged computer use up to entire shift. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Hazardous material inventory and MSDS available. Wears personal protective equipment as needed. May be exposed to patients/public with communicable diseases.
