Data And Compliance Coordinator

About Lost Angels Career Center

Lost Angels Career Center (LACC) is a California nonprofit organization serving transitional

age youth in the Antelope Valley through hands-on vocational training, employment

pathways, and wraparound support. LACC's programs are funded through a mix of

government grants, foundation awards, and community partnerships, each carrying its own

data, reporting, and compliance requirements. The Data and Compliance Manager is the

person who keeps all of that organized, accurate, and audit-ready.

Position Summary

The Data and Compliance Manager owns LACC's program data infrastructure, grant

reporting, and compliance operations. This is an individual contributor role that sits at the

intersection of data quality, funder accountability, and regulatory compliance. The person in

this seat manages all internal and external program data reporting, ensures grant

deliverables are tracked and met across multiple concurrent funding streams, maintains

LACC's CRM systems, and supports program compliance with contract, government, and

grant requirements. LACC is currently transitioning from Casebook to Salesforce, and this

role will be a key partner in that implementation.

In This Role, You Will

  • Own LACC's program data infrastructure, including daily oversight of data entry quality across

the case management and intake teams, management of the internal CRM (currently

Casebook, transitioning to Salesforce), and weekly and monthly data reporting to senior

leadership and the CFO.

  • Manage all grant reporting requirements across LACC's active funding portfolio, including data

entry and validation in funder-required systems such as Apricot and CalJOBS, quarterly

progress reports, invoice support, and outcomes tracking for individual cohort participants tied

to specific grant deliverables such as CFCI PA02, PA24, CDBG, CalCRG, and the City of

Lancaster GLM.

  • Track grant deliverables against scopes of work and reporting timelines, flag risks to the CFO

and grants team when benchmarks are at risk, and support grant prospecting and small one-

off grant writing as a secondary contributor to the grants function.

  • Conduct quarterly internal program file audits, support external grant and program audits, and

ensure LACC's documentation practices meet the administrative compliance requirements of

all active funding agreements, including staff credentialing, insurance, LiveScan, and other

contract-specific requirements.

  • Review and implement data requirements from new funding agreements as they are awarded,

collect updated demographic and program data as funder requirements change, and serve as

the internal point person for all funder-required database platforms.

  • Partner with the Salesforce implementation process, working with CRM representatives to

ensure the system reflects LACC's program and reporting needs, troubleshoot issues, and

support the transition from Casebook as the organization migrates its data infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in program data management, grants compliance, or a closely

related role in a nonprofit or government-funded program environment.

  • Demonstrated Salesforce experience required, including data entry, reporting, and system

management. Experience supporting a CRM implementation or migration is a strong plus.

  • Familiarity with government grant reporting systems and requirements, including experience

with platforms such as Apricot, CalJOBS, Neighborly, or comparable funder databases.

  • Strong data quality orientation with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent

reporting deadlines accurately and without significant oversight.

  • Comfort working across program, finance, and leadership teams to gather information, flag

compliance risks, and ensure reporting accuracy under tight timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with California-specific government funding streams, including CFCI, CDBG,

WIOA-adjacent CBO grants, or comparable state and county contracts.

  • Experience supporting grant writing or prospecting in a secondary capacity, including small

foundation grants and one-off donation requests.

  • Familiarity with pre-apprenticeship program compliance requirements or workforce

development data reporting environments.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

LACC offers the following to eligible employees:

  • Annual salary of $58,000-$68,000, based on experience. In accordance with California AB

1197, this salary range is posted in compliance with LACC's commitment to pay transparency.

Placement within the range is determined by qualifications and experience.

  • Paid sick leave in accordance with California SB 616 (40 hours annually, front-loaded).
