Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

● Data Modeling & Warehousing:

○ Design, develop, and optimize scalable data models and schemas within Google BigQuery.

○ Write, tune, and optimize complex SQL queries (standard SQL) for data extraction, transformation, and loading

(ETL/ELT).

○ Manage and govern data in BigQuery, focusing on partitioning, clustering, cost optimization, and performance.

● Business Intelligence & Visualization:

○ Develop and maintain dynamic, high-impact dashboards and reports using Tableau and/or Looker.

○ In Looker, create and manage LookML models (views, explorers, and dashboards) to ensure a single source of

truth and user-friendly data consumption.

○ In Tableau, connect to various data sources (primarily BigQuery), build compelling visualizations, and manage

workbook deployment on Tableau Server/Cloud.

○ Collaborate with business stakeholders (Marketing, Finance, Operations) to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions and actionable insights.

● Data Quality & Governance:

○ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all reporting platforms.

○ Implement data validation and quality checks within the data pipeline and BI layers.

● Mentorship & Documentation:

○ Provide technical guidance and support to data users on accessing and interpreting BI reports.

○ Create and maintain detailed documentation for data models, LookML, and reporting standards.

Required Qualifications

● Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in data warehousing, BI development, or data analytics.

● Google BigQuery Expertise: Proven hands-on experience in building and optimizing data structures in Google

BigQuery.

● SQL Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing complex, performance-driven SQL.

● BI Tool Proficiency (Looker): Strong experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining LookML models and

creating user-facing dashboards/Looks.

● BI Tool Proficiency (Tableau): Strong experience connecting to data sources, designing advanced visualizations, and

working with Tableau Desktop/Server/Cloud.

● Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical data solutions and

reporting structures.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

● Experience with other GCP services (e.g., Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Dataflow/Dataproc, Airflow/Composer).

● Familiarity with Python or R for scripting, ETL/ELT processes, or advanced analytics.

● Experience with Git or other version control systems for managing LookML and code.

● Understanding of data governance, security, and PII management best practices.

Education

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay: Up to ₹2,500,000.00 per year
