About the Role

TotalFM, LLC is seeking a seasoned Construction Owner’s Representative to lead a high-priority, hyperscale data center project located in the premier Jackson, MS. In this critical role, you will serve as the owner's professional advocate and primary "eyes and ears" on the ground, bridging the gap between all stakeholders to ensure flawless execution.

You will be responsible for protecting the owner's interests through every phase of construction, ensuring the project strictly adheres to global-tier quality standards, aggressive timelines, and complex budgetary objectives. This role requires a leader who can command a site, navigate the unique demands of "Data Center Alley," and provide the strategic oversight necessary to mitigate risk before it impacts the critical path.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Advocacy & Oversight: Act as the primary liaison between architects, engineers, and contractors from planning through final closeout.

· On-Site Coordination: Maintain a daily presence to monitor workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to design specifications.

· Financial Stewardship: Review and track budgets, evaluate contractor invoices/change orders, and lead value engineering initiatives to optimize costs.

· Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential delays or conflicts and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.

· Reporting: Facilitate stakeholder meetings and deliver detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and documentation to the TotalFM Director and Client Construction Manager.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Professional Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Center Construction Project Management, Owner's Representation, or a directly similar leadership role.

· Must-Have Technical Skill: Proven, hands-on experience in Data Center Construction & Finish Out is a MANDATORY requirement.

· Regional Experience: Recent experience with projects in Maine is required.

· Project Management Expertise: Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and complex construction documents. Must demonstrate mastery in managing and interpreting complex project schedules (e.g., P6/MS Project).

· Compliance & Safety: Deep, seasoned understanding of construction contracts, building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), and industry best practices.

· Leadership & Team Coordination: Strong ability to manage diverse teams, including contractors, consultants, and government agencies. Must bring clarity, maturity, and control to fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

· Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must be a seasoned negotiator and a trustworthy, professional representative of the owner at all levels of the project.

· Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant data and well-rounded experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Site Presence: This is a 100% in-person, 5-day-a-week position on-site in Jackson, MS.

· Field Conditions: Must be comfortable navigating active construction sites, climbing ladders, and wearing required PPE for extended periods.

· Residency: Must be located near Jackson, MS, or be willing to travel/relocate as needed for the duration of the contract.
