Data Center Engineer

Briviant Inc. seeks a reliable, detail-oriented Data Center Engineer to support day-to-day data center activities and hands-on hardware build work. This role is ideal for someone with previous data center experience. This role is onsite at our Irvine, CA office.

Key Responsibilities

Data Center Operations

• Support daily data center operations, including monitoring equipment and responding to basic alerts or requests
• Perform rack-and-stack of servers, network equipment, and related hardware
• Assist with cable management (power and network) to maintain clean and organized racks
• Conduct routine hardware checks and visual inspections
• Support asset tracking, labeling, and inventory updates
• Follow established safety, security, and change-management procedures

Build Technician / Hardware Support

• Assemble, configure, and stage servers and related hardware components on Mac devices
• Install and replace hardware components (e.g., drives, memory, power supplies)
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Prepare systems for deployment, decommissioning, or return (including wiping and packaging)
• Document build steps and issues according to internal standards

Required Qualifications

• Experience with computer hardware (Mac OS), servers, or IT infrastructure (professional, academic, or lab-based)
• Previous experience working in a physical data center environment
• Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~40–50 lbs)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a data center, IT operations, or hardware build role
• Familiarity with server components, rack systems, and structured cabling

Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
