Position Summary

We are seeking experienced infrastructure resources to support a Professional Services engagement focused on repurposing inherited Dell PowerFlex R660 all-flash storage racks for Cohesity deployment. This work requires hands-on data center execution, including node re-imaging, DRAC health validation, iDRAC IP reconfiguration, firmware updates, and coordination with data center operations teams. The engagement spans 80 racks / 1,600 nodes across 4 data centers and will be executed in two phases. Resources must be comfortable operating in an enterprise environment that requires strict adherence to change management, on-site access controls, and coordination with DCMS teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Dell DRAC physical console health checks and connectivity validation
  • Reconfigure DRAC IP addressing and confirm successful access
  • Re-image PowerFlex nodes by uninstalling PX software and installing Cohesity
  • Execute required Cohesity firmware updates
  • Validate hardware readiness on Dell R660 server platforms
  • Support physical rack-level execution within data center environments
  • Create, submit, and coordinate Change Requests in accordance with enterprise processes
  • Coordinate with DCMS teams for escort access, site scheduling, and on-site execution
  • Track work across phased rollout activities spanning multiple data center locations

Scope of Work

  • Total footprint: 80 racks x 20 nodes = 1,600 nodes
  • Data centers: 4
  • Phase 1: 20 racks / 400 nodes / 5 racks per data center
  • Phase 2: 60 racks / 1,200 nodes / 15 racks per data center
  • Timing: Phase 2 aligned to Q3/Q4 rollout

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Dell DRAC console administration
  • Experience supporting Dell PowerEdge R660 hardware
  • Strong working knowledge of PowerFlex node management, including PX uninstall and re-imaging activities
  • Experience with Cohesity software installation and firmware upgrades
  • Strong network/IP configuration skills, particularly for iDRAC re-IP and access validation
  • Experience working in data center environments, including physical rack-level activities
  • Familiarity with enterprise change management processes, including CR creation and approval workflows
  • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional operational teams for on-site execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in infrastructure repurposing or migration projects
  • Experience supporting multi-site deployment programs
  • Familiarity with data center escort procedures, access protocols, and DCMS coordination
  • Strong troubleshooting and execution discipline in physically constrained or operationally controlled environments

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior-level infrastructure or field engineer with a blend of: server hardware expertise, out-of-band management experience, software re-imaging and firmware lifecycle skills, and strong operational coordination capability in enterprise data center settings.

Success Criteria

  • Successful completion of DRAC health checks and connectivity validation
  • Accurate iDRAC IP reconfiguration with verified access
  • Completion of node re-imaging from PowerFlex to Cohesity standards
  • Timely execution of firmware updates
  • Effective coordination of site access, change approvals, and on-site scheduling across all 4 data centers
