About the Role:
Enabled Energy, Inc. is hiring a Systems Integration Engineer to lead commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of mission-critical cooling systems across multiple data centers. This role involves diagnosing performance issues, implementing corrective strategies, and ensuring operational excellence. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, work independently, and bring strong technical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite commissioning, retro-commissioning, and optimization of mechanical cooling systems.
- Diagnose root causes of performance issues across mechanical, airflow, and control systems.
- Execute real-time adjustments, parameter tuning, and system reprogramming.
- Validate system performance against design intent and efficiency targets.
- Conduct thermal imaging audits and identify airflow improvements.
- Build trust with site teams, extract critical operational insights, and navigate sensitive conversations.
- Manage multiple projects: research, logistics, documentation, and travel coordination.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and emergent troubleshooting needs.
Key Qualifications:
- CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, chillers, heat exchangers, DX systems.
- VFD tuning, EC motors, airflow containment strategies, raised-floor dynamics.
- BMS/BAS controls logic, thermal imaging, and system diagnostics.
- 7+ years commissioning or optimizing mission-critical mechanical systems in data centers or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of ASHRAE guidelines and thermal strategies.
- Familiarity with controls, setpoint strategies, and sequence-of-operations validation.
- Exceptional communication—translate technical findings for diverse audiences.
- Entrepreneurial mindset—solve problems creatively with incomplete data.
- Adaptability—manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Leadership and project management.
- Budget oversight and subcontractor coordination.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborative approach across engineering, finance, and operations.
- Certifications: PE, CxA, CEM preferred but not required.
- Travel: Frequent domestic and international travel required.
