As a Data & Compliance Manager, you will lead initiatives and analytics to support our growing business demands and organizational goals. This person will be responsible for leveraging their experiences and skills in transportation management, international logistics, and data governance to develop best in class processes, systems, and metrics while ensuring quality delivery and compliance to all regulatory requirements. You will mine and analyze data and trends to develop sustainable solutions that improve both cost and delivery. Additionally, manage our carrier and 3PL partners and hold them accountable to goals.
Job Duties:
- Support the development and implementation of the Enterprise reporting initiatives including requirements gathering, data mining, analytics, and communication.
- Assist with RFP’s by establishing baselines, defining operational needs, analyzing results and awarding business.
- Conduct network analytics and develop sustainable solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
- Document operating procedures and hold stakeholders accountable for adherence.
- Ensure compliance to import and export regulatory requirements.
- Enhance end-to-end transportation ERP/3PL integration and visibility. Lead the development and reporting of metrics, KPI’s, scorecards and dashboards that support business priorities and expense control.
- Conduct audits of weekly freight invoices and analyze negative trends to eliminate network waste.
- Validate and record cost-reduction performances of operational initiatives
- Manage item catalog details including harmonized tariff coding, hazardous material descriptions
- Dashboard development and maintenance
- ERP/WMS systematic development, functionality testing, and data management
- Financial support including, but not limited to, budgeting, recording spend allocations, tracking YOY performance
- Spearhead automation efforts to streamline recurring reporting and generate bandwidth for team members
- Lead and develop a team of data and process engineers to support current and future business objectives
- Will be responsible for defining and quantifying with supporting data operational performance metrics and KPI
- Manage and maintain data and reporting repositories
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager
- Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis on finance/supply chain.
- 3-5 years' experience in data analytics with dashboard development
- Experience leading and communicating with internal/external stakeholders and how to manage change and hold all parties accountable to SOPs.
- Deeply analytic with strong quantitative skills and business acumen.
- Thorough understanding of freight forwarder operations, duties/tariffs, network optimization, freight handling, customs, documentation, import/export control, and logistics vendor management.
- Exposure to manufacturing and distribution operations and supply chain practices.
- Excellent communication skills.
- MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills required.
- TMS, WMS, and business intelligent tools experience a plus.
- Lean, Six Sigma training, certifications very beneficial.
- Up to 15% travel.
- Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
- Comply with company rules, policies, and decisions.
