Data Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architecture to support our analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This role requires a strong background in big data technologies and cloud platforms, as well as proficiency in various programming languages and database management systems.

Duties

• Design and implement robust data pipelines to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources into data warehouses.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure the availability of high-quality datasets for analysis.
• Develop and maintain data models, database designs, and schemas to optimize performance and storage efficiency.
• Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop, Apache Hive, Spark, and Azure Data Lake for processing large datasets.
• Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration of data services across applications.
• Conduct model training and analysis to derive insights from complex datasets.
• Work within Agile methodologies to deliver projects on time while adapting to changing requirements.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to data processing or storage.

Experience

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly desirable.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, SQL, and experience with shell scripting (Bash).
• Familiarity with big data tools including Informatica, Talend, Looker, and analytics frameworks.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle databases, and database design principles.
• Knowledge of linked data concepts and analytics techniques is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets effectively.

Pay: $119,959.17 - $144,466.97 per year
