Join Our Team as a Data Engineer

Holiday Management is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to help build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers analytics, reporting, and operational insights across our organization. If you thrive at the intersection of data engineering, SQL development, and business operations, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact across our family of companies.

As a Data Engineer, you will design and support scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality across integrated systems, and partner closely with analysts and business stakeholders to enable accurate, reliable, and accessible insights.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from systems such as POS, GP, Paycom, Ecotrak, Paytronix, Samsara, Store Accounting Software, WDMS, and others.

  • Automate data ingestion processes and monitor pipelines for failures or anomalies.

  • Develop and maintain the company KPI library to support consistent, reliable reporting.

  • Collaborate with internal application owners and third-party vendors to maintain secure, dependable data exchanges.

  • Create and optimize SQL views, stored procedures, and database structures for analysts and BI tools.

  • Monitor and maintain database performance, including indexing, partitioning, storage, and permission management.

  • Troubleshoot and tune inefficient SQL queries across applications and reporting tools.

  • Implement data validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes to ensure accuracy across systems.

  • Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, partnering with business teams to address upstream issues.

  • Contribute to data governance standards, naming conventions, and documentation.

  • Work closely with Business Intelligence Analysts to ensure reliable datasets for dashboards, KPIs, and operational reporting.

  • Document data sources, workflows, integrations, and data models in clear, accessible formats.

  • Provide technical guidance on SQL, data structures, and best practices to cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or similar roles.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, custom pipelines, or API integrations.

  • Proven experience designing and optimizing database structures and queries.

  • Strong understanding of data quality, validation, and transformation concepts.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across pipelines, integrations, and database environments.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with both technical and non-technical teams.
