Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid) . Candidates must have strong Data Engineering expertise with advanced SQL and Python skills to be considered for this role.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, build, and optimize end‑to‑end data pipelines using Python and SQL to support analytical and operational workflows.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries and transformations to ensure high‑quality, reliable data processing.
• Work with Snowflake to design scalable data models, optimize warehouse performance, and manage data ingestion processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient engineering solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve existing data workflows to ensure stability and performance.
• Document pipeline logic, data flows, and best practices to support ongoing development and team alignment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering with strong SQL and Python proficiency.
• Requires hands‑on experience building and managing data pipelines using modern data engineering practices.
• Requires a solid understanding of Snowflake database concepts, architecture, and performance optimization.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
