We are looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer who is passionate about big data, cloud technologies, and scalable data architectures.

Job Summary

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms for our e-commerce ecosystem. You will work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to ensure reliable data flow and high-performance analytics infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with SQL, Python, cloud technologies, ETL pipelines, and large-scale distributed data systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Build real-time and batch data processing systems
• Integrate data from multiple sources including:
• E-commerce platforms
• Payment gateways
• CRM systems
• Marketing tools
• Inventory and logistics systems
• Develop and optimize data warehouses and data lakes
• Ensure high data quality, integrity, and availability
• Process large-scale customer and transaction datasets
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance
• Build data models for analytics and reporting
• Support machine learning and recommendation systems
• Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot failures
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams

Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipeline development
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Knowledge of cloud platforms:
• AWS
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Microsoft Azure
• Experience with data warehousing solutions:
• Snowflake
• Redshift
• BigQuery
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
• Knowledge of customer behavior analytics
• Experience with real-time streaming pipelines
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience supporting ML and AI data pipelines
• Understanding of DataOps and CI/CD workflows

Education

Bachelor’s degree in:

• Computer Science
• Software Engineering
• Information Technology
• Data Science
• or equivalent practical experience.
