Pay Range: $85,633.60 to $128,450.14

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

About the Role

Kwik Trip’s Data Engineering team is growing! We’re looking for a Data Engineer II who thrives on solving complex data challenges and building scalable infrastructure. If you’re passionate about transforming raw data into actionable insights and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
  • Build, test, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures
  • Develop real-time integrations and troubleshoot data infrastructure issues
  • Evaluate and implement emerging data technologies
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and data flow diagrams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives
  • Analyze data for trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
  • Support data transformation, metadata management, and workload orchestration
What You’ll Bring
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational and big data databases
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or R
  • Experience with ETL tools (Informatica, SSIS, Talend)
  • Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, and stream processing technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Excellent communication skills
Bonus Points
  • Experience with natural language processing or statistical modeling
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and source control best practices

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
