Apple Ads Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer and a Data engineering expert who has past experience in building large scale data pipelines. e are looking for someone who is passionate about creating high-performing, scalable, well-designed back-end systems that are the foundation for critical internal and customer-facing platforms at Apple.

Apple Ads Engineering team is a diverse, global, agile engineering team that moves smart and fast by consuming and optimizing readily available technology. In this role, you will spearhead the design and development of robust big data pipelines, ensuring efficient data exposure to consumers. This role demands a passion for exploring and implementing cutting-edge data technologies to elevate our platform. You would need to manage diverse stakeholders and possess communication skills to articulate complex data strategies. A key responsibility includes leading projects from conception to execution, while also mentoring and guiding junior team members. Preferred Qualifications
BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree required, MS in Computer Science strongly preferred

Exposure to building Pub/Sub mechanism for message flow

Exposure to applied machine learning, Analytics and business intelligence is a plus

Commitment to developing high-quality software and products

Curiosity to explore and understand data is a strong plus

Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of experience in software development in Java/Linux environment with 5+ years in building scalable, resilient and containerized Data services

Proficient in Data Engineering skills across batch and streaming.

Strong Expertise in Spark, Flink or similar distributed data processing frameworks

Strong hands-on experience in Java/Scala programming skills

Strong experience on Spark , Flink or similar technologies.

Strong experience in Cloud Services like EKS, Kubernetes, etc..

Ability to automate manual tasks to achieve efficiency

Experience with using various Databases like MySql, Postgres, Oracle, Snowflake, Cassandra etc

Have the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
