Job Purpose
To design, build, and maintain the company’s data ecosystem by automating the flow of information from multiple sources — including the e-commerce platform, mobile app, and supplier systems — into a centralized database.
The role will also develop dashboards, KPIs, and automated reporting to help management make informed, real-time decisions with minimal manual effort.
Key Responsibilities
Area Main Tasks
Data Pipeline Development Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to automatically ingest and update data from the e-commerce platform, mobile app, supplier CSV/API feeds, and internal sales/acquisition systems.
Data Modeling & Storage Design and optimize relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL or similar) to hold clean, structured, scalable data.
Automation & Workflow Integration Use Python, APIs, and workflow tools (e.g., n8n, Airbyte, Fivetran) to automate repetitive tasks such as importing supplier files, updating product pricing, and triggering alerts.
Business Intelligence & Dashboards Create interactive dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to track KPIs like sales, customer acquisition, product performance, and marketing ROI.
Data Quality & Governance Maintain clean, consistent master data (SKUs, product IDs, pricing). Monitor and improve data accuracy and completeness.
Collaboration & Support Work with management, marketing, and operations teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
Strong SQL (data modeling, optimization, queries).
Proficiency in Python for automation, data manipulation, and API integrations.
Experience with ETL/ELT tools (n8n, Airbyte, Fivetran, custom Python pipelines).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and version control (Git).
Advanced knowledge of data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Understanding of API integration & web scraping for data ingestion.
Analytical & Business Skills:
Ability to define and track KPIs for e-commerce performance, customer acquisition, and sales trends.
Strong problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, structured thinking, and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Experience
Background in e-commerce or retail data environments.
Experience setting up fully automated data pipelines with minimal manual intervention.
Building self-refreshing dashboards and scheduled reporting.
Exposure to CRM and marketing data (campaign tracking, customer segmentation).
