Data Engineer / ETL Developer

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / ETL Developer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The ideal candidate will work closely with multiple source systems and databases to build reliable and scalable data pipelines for business and analytics use cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract raw data from multiple source systems
• Handle data extraction from structured and semi-structured sources
• Work with multiple databases (relational and/or NoSQL)
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and stakeholders for data requirements
• Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot issues in production environments
• Ensure adherence to data security and compliance standards
• Support onsite deployment activities and client coordination

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of experience as a Data Engineer / ETL Developer
• Strong experience in ETL tools or frameworks
• Hands-on experience with SQL and database querying
• Experience working with multiple databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Knowledge of data modeling and schema design
• Experience in handling raw data extraction from source systems
• Ability to work in an onsite client environment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred / Good to Have:

• Exposure to Python or scripting languages
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Knowledge of Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop – basic exposure is acceptable)
• Prior experience in production support or client-facing roles
