The Data / ML Engineer II will independently design, build, and maintain data infrastructure and pipelines to support the development, deployment, and scaling of data and machine learning models within the financial sector. This role requires a solid understanding of data engineering principles, proficiency in relevant tools and technologies, and the ability to translate data requirements into effective and efficient data solutions. Experience with data structures within core banking systems and common banking applications is highly desirable.

What you will bring to the role:
o 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
o Proven experience in building and deploying data pipelines and infrastructure, preferably within the financial services industry.
o Solid experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
o Experience with machine learning model deployment and monitoring.
o Strongly preferred: Some knowledge of core banking system data structures (e.g., Temenos).
o Familiarity with data from common banking applications (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and various POS systems).
o Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala, Java).
o Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
o Strong knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
o Familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
o Solid understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
o Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools.
o Strong ownership and accountability for assigned work.
o Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
o Effective time management and task prioritization.
o Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
o Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams within and across functions.
o Ability to actively listen to customers and accurately understand their needs, expectations, and challenges.
