Data Engineer (Palantir Foundry + TypeScript)

Location: Jersey City, NJ/ Atlanta
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer (Palantir Foundry + TypeScript) to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions leveraging Palantir Foundry, AWS cloud technologies, and modern data engineering practices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data engineering, distributed systems, and Palantir Foundry application development. This role will focus on building scalable data pipelines, developing Foundry-based applications, enabling AI-driven analytics, and supporting enterprise data modernization initiatives.

Experience within the Insurance domain is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Engineering & Platform Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data platforms.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows supporting large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Develop and maintain Foundry datasets, transformations, and data lineage processes.
  • Create reusable data models and data products supporting enterprise analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance across data ecosystems.

Palantir Foundry Development

  • Develop solutions using:
    • Foundry Pipeline Builder
    • Foundry Code Repositories
    • Ontology
    • Foundry Applications
    • Workshop
    • Slate
  • Build and support business applications within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem.
  • Leverage Foundry AIP capabilities to enable AI-driven business workflows and automation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Foundry solutions.

Cloud & Data Architecture

  • Develop cloud-native solutions utilizing AWS services including:
    • S3
    • Glue
    • Athena
    • Lambda
    • Redshift
  • Design scalable data architectures supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
  • Optimize storage, compute, and processing performance across cloud environments.

AI & Analytics Enablement

  • Support machine learning and AI initiatives by preparing and operationalizing data assets.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI teams to deploy data-driven solutions.
  • Enable predictive analytics, operational intelligence, and advanced reporting capabilities.

Engineering Excellence

  • Participate in Agile development processes and sprint ceremonies.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
  • Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Perform code reviews and establish engineering standards.

Required Qualifications:

Experience

  • 3–7 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Platform Development.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and data engineering technologies.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale data solutions.

  • Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
