Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure efficient data flow across systems.
- Build and maintain data warehouses and lakes utilizing platforms such as Azure Data Lake and Hadoop to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions using SQL, Python, Java, and Shell Scripting.
- Implement and manage big data frameworks like Apache Hive, Spark, and Hadoop for processing large datasets effectively.
- Develop RESTful APIs for seamless data integration between various applications and services.
- Conduct model training and analysis to support predictive analytics initiatives.
- Design database schemas and optimize database performance using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases.
- Utilize tools such as Talend, Informatica, Looker, and VBA to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Maintain adherence to Agile methodologies for project management while ensuring high-quality deliverables in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role with a strong understanding of data architecture principles.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services including AWS S3, EC2, or related tools; experience with Azure Data Lake is highly desirable.
- Extensive knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related ecosystems.
- Skilled in SQL development with experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle databases, or similar systems.
- Programming expertise in Python, Java, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting or VBA for automation and data manipulation tasks.
- Familiarity with ETL tools like Talend or Informatica for efficient data integration workflows.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for actionable insights.
- Experience designing scalable data warehouses or lakes aligned with business needs.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development for system interoperability.
- Understanding of model training processes within analytics projects is a plus.

Pay: $81,776.45 - $120,000.00 per year
