About the Role
As the Data Engineer, you will help design, build, and maintain the company’s data infrastructure within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem. The role focuses on both real-time data streaming and long-term analytical data processing.

You will work closely with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data systems are reliable, scalable, and optimized for performance. While this is not a formal data architecture role, there is strong potential for the right person to grow into architectural responsibilities over time.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building robust pipelines, working with streaming data, and improving how organizations use data to make decisions.

  • Use Python, Spark, and Fabric Notebooks to transform and process batch and streaming data
  • Manage incremental data loads from temporary tables and streaming sources

Maintain data platform reliability

  • Use GitHub and Microsoft Fabric Deployment Pipelines for version control and deployment
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Fabric components across development and production environments

Collaborate across teams

  • Work with analysts, developers, and business users to validate requirements and deliver solutions
  • Stay current on Microsoft data engineering technologies and best practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Microsoft DP-700 Certification
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Fabric
  • At least 1 year of experience working with Fabric Real-Time Intelligence (RTI)
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • Experience working with Spark and notebooks for data processing
  • Experience with Git and source control workflows
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Compensation and Work Setup

  • Salary: $140,000 to $160,000 per year
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Work Setup: Remote
  • Reporting To: Director of Information Systems
  • Direct Reports: None

This is a hands-on engineering role with strong ownership over the data infrastructure that powers analytics and operational reporting. The position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge Microsoft data technologies while contributing directly to the company’s data strategy.

Why This Role Matters
Data is central to how modern organizations operate. In this role, you will help ensure that the right data reaches the right people at the right time. Your work will power real-time insights, enable smarter decisions, and help teams across the organization operate more effectively.
