Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Solutions Architect to join our growing Data Practice. The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of hands-on experience in designing, architecting, and delivering large-scale data warehousing, data lake, ETL/ELT, and reporting solutions across modern and traditional data platforms.

This role requires a strong balance of technical depth, solution architecture leadership, and a consulting mindset. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to define scalable, secure, and cost-effective data architectures that enable advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, while also contributing to internal best practices and capability building.

Required Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering and data architecture, with hands-on solution delivery

• Deep expertise in Snowflake or Databricks

• Strong working knowledge of dbt, Matillion, SQL, Python, and/or PySpark

• Experience designing and implementing data pipelines and orchestration frameworks using Airflow, Control-M, or similar tools

• Familiarity with cloud-native data engineering services, such as:

  • AWS Glue, Redshift, Athena

  • GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub

  • Or equivalent services

• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and modern architecture patterns (medallion, layered, modular)

• Experience integrating and troubleshooting APIs and real-time ingestion technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub, REST APIs)

• Familiarity with traditional ETL and data integration tools (Informatica, SSIS, Oracle Data Integrator, etc.)

• Solid understanding of data governance, performance tuning, and Data DevOps (CI/CD, version control, monitoring)

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as:

  • Snowflake SnowPro

  • Databricks Certified Architect

  • AWS Data Analytics Specialty

  • Google Professional Data Engineer

• Prior consulting or client-facing experience

• Exposure to AI/ML platforms, data quality, or metadata management frameworks

• Experience designing solutions across multi-cloud or hybrid environments

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect end-to-end data solutions using Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Matillion, Python, Airflow, Control-M, and cloud-native services on AWS / Azure / GCP

• Define and implement data ingestion, transformation, integration, and orchestration frameworks for structured and semi-structured data

• Architect data lakes and data warehouses with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, performance, and governance

• Design solutions for real-time, micro-batch, event-driven, and API-based data integration

• Lead design and delivery of data visualization and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and Streamlit

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and define architecture blueprints aligned with business goals

• Establish and enforce engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices

• Mentor data engineers and support internal capability building on modern data technologies

• Provide thought leadership on modern data platforms, data modernization, and AI/ML integration strategies
