Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using Python, Talend, and Informatica to ensure high-quality data flow into our data warehouse and lakes.
• Design and optimize scalable data architectures leveraging AWS, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, Spark, and Apache Hive to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data efficiently.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions that support analytics and model training initiatives.
• Build and manage databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational database systems; design schemas that support efficient querying and analysis.
• Implement RESTful APIs for seamless data integration across platforms while ensuring security and performance standards are met.
• Write complex SQL queries, Bash scripts, Shell scripting, and VBA macros to automate workflows and streamline data processing tasks.
• Support analysis efforts by providing clean datasets, performing database design improvements, and assisting with analytics projects using Looker or similar visualization tools.
• Participate in Agile development cycles to continuously improve data pipelines and infrastructure in response to evolving business needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role with strong Python programming skills for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Data Lake for scalable storage solutions.
• Deep understanding of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related ecosystems.
• Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle databases, and designing efficient database schemas for large-scale data warehouses.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Talend or Informatica for building reliable data pipelines.
• Knowledge of analytics tools such as Looker or equivalent BI platforms for reporting purposes.
• Experience with RESTful API development for system integrations; shell scripting (Bash) or Unix shell scripting skills are highly desirable.
• Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets; experience in model training is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication skills within Agile teams; familiarity with database design principles is essential. Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
