About the Job

You will be instrumental in driving and developing our data platform and BI solutions, empowering business teams to make better decisions, faster. To succeed, you’ll bring technical curiosity, business insight, and strong skills in data engineering and visualization.

What you’ll do

  • Architect, build, and maintain the core data infrastructure (Snowflake) and BI reporting (Strategy).
  • Translate business requirements into robust data products, dependable data pipelines and automated reporting to surface metrics.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream technical teams develop integrations to provide a seamless flow of data into data platform.
  • Implement observability, monitoring, data quality, and SLA enforcement for data availability for business consumption.
  • Define and uphold engineering best practices for data modeling, lineage, warehouse architecture and data visualization.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions applying data modeling, SQL and data warehousing skills, including hands-on implementation.
  • Create and maintain documentation, best practices, and standards for data.
  • Engage in technical discussions and decision-making processes, contributing to the company's strategic vision. Work on proof-of-concept and make recommendations on the technologies based on their merit.
  • Explore new technology advancements in Data Engineering, Generative/Agentic AI and incorporate them into the BI solutions to create value.
  • Lead and manage BI support team, partner with multiple SAAS vendors providing data services and solutions.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience: 5–7 years in data engineering, with hands-on experience in Snowflake and strong knowledge of the Retail domain, including Inventory Management, Customer 360, Martech, and Retail Analytics.
  • Technical Acumen: Expert-level knowledge of dimensional modeling, Star and Snowflake schemas; expert-level knowledge of the latest ELT tools and techniques; deep understanding of cloud-based architectures including Snowflake and Azure; fluency in building scalable and complex data pipelines between numerous source and target systems.
  • Hands-on Technical Skills: Experience with Azure cloud, Snowflake, SQL, Hive/Spark, Unix scripting, Python, and MicroStrategy.
  • Systems Knowledge: Working knowledge of the Salesforce ecosystem (Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Order Management, POS, and Data Cloud) and Retail ERP systems (Oracle RMS, Microsoft D365).
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting and optimizing data processes.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to drive long-term technical vision while remaining deeply engaged in hands-on execution.
  • Additional Skills: Exposure or knowledge of Snowflake Cortex is a plus.

Actual starting pay for this role is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to qualifications, experience, relevant skills,, education, and geographic location.
