Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely input of sensitive information. Your primary duties will include:
* Accurately entering patient demographics, insurance information, and clinical data into our billing systems.
* Reviewing documents and on-screen data for errors and correcting any inconsistencies to ensure data integrity.
* Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies when handling sensitive patient records.
* Preparing and sorting source documents, and identifying and interpreting data to be entered.
* Assisting the billing and coding team by retrieving information and supporting administrative tasks as required.
* Performing regular data verification and quality control checks to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic and an exceptional eye for detail. Key qualifications include:
* Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk or in a similar administrative role.
* Excellent typing speed and accuracy with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* A high level of discretion and a commitment to handling confidential information responsibly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Previous experience in the healthcare sector or familiarity with medical terminology would be a significant advantage.
