Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Accurately entering and updating large volumes of information into company databases and computer systems.
- Verifying data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting any errors or inconsistencies.
- Reviewing source documents for deficiencies and resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
- Maintaining the confidentiality and security of all company and client data.
- Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations.
- Complying with data integrity and security policies to ensure data is handled responsibly.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure company-wide data consistency and quality.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proven experience in a data entry role or a similar position.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
- Familiarity with administrative duties and data management software.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further computer training or certification is a plus.
