Data Entry Operator (SAP)

**Job Summary:**

The Data Entry Operator (SAP) is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in the SAP system to ensure smooth operations of the steel manufacturing processes. This role involves handling material, production, inventory, and transactional data, ensuring compliance with company procedures and data integrity.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **SAP Data Entry:**

* Enter and maintain accurate data in SAP modules such as MM (Material Management), SD (Sales & Distribution), PP (Production Planning), and FI/CO (Finance & Controlling).

* Process purchase orders, goods receipts, production reports, and inventory movements.

* Maintain master data for vendors, customers, materials, and production orders.

2. **Data Verification & Quality:**

* Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry.

* Reconcile discrepancies between physical records and SAP entries.

* Ensure timely updates to prevent production or financial delays.

3. **Reporting & Documentation:**

* Generate standard and ad-hoc reports as required by management.

* Maintain proper documentation of transactions and changes.

* Assist in audits by providing accurate SAP records and reports.

4. **Collaboration & Support:**

* Coordinate with procurement, production, inventory, and finance teams to collect necessary data.

* Support SAP team in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.

* Provide assistance in training new users on SAP data entry processes.

**Qualifications & Skills:**

* **Education:** Diploma / Graduate in Commerce, IT, or relevant field.

* **Experience:** 1–3 years in data entry, preferably in SAP in a manufacturing/steel industry environment.

* **Technical Skills:**

* Proficient in SAP ERP preferred).

* Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic data analysis.

* **Soft Skills:**

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments.

* Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

**Work Environment:**

* Office-based in a steel plant, with occasional visits to production or warehouse areas for data verification.

* May involve shift work depending on plant operations.

**Reporting & Evaluation:**

* Performance will be measured by accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of data entered in SAP.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,500.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
