Job Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Data Entry & Purchasing Specialist to join our growing team. In this contract role, you'll be the backbone of our contract department's order fulfillment process for doors and hardware. Your primary responsibility will be accurately and swiftly entering purchase orders, managing data, and ensuring seamless communication to support our sales and operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurate Order Entry: Process and input purchase orders for doors, hardware, and related accessories into our internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Data Management: Maintain and update product, vendor, and customer information within our databases.
- Order Tracking: Monitor order status, track shipments, and communicate any delays or issues to relevant internal teams.
- Vendor Communication: Coordinate with vendors regarding order details, product availability, and delivery schedules.
- Internal Coordination: Collaborate closely with the sales, estimating, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order flow and resolve discrepancies.
- Document Management: Organize and file purchase orders, invoices, and other related documentation.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve order-related issues or data inconsistencies promptly.
- Reporting: Assist with generating basic reports related to order volume and status as needed.
- Data Entry: You will be entering data into ordering software the majority of your day.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry, order processing, or a similar administrative role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy is paramount.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with construction materials, particularly doors and hardware, is a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $67,500.00 per year
