Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Extract Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will support migrating customer workgroups and consolidate common datasets into a Microsoft Azure-based platform. This position will play a key role in the migration of data extracts from the legacy system, enabling improved customer relationship management, business operations, and data accessibility.

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Extract Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the migration of data extracts into cloud environments, including near-real-time (NRT) extracts for Clinic Availability, inpatient census, room and bed data, and view alerts.
  • Support migration of extract-driven solutions that power patient scheduling reports, patient information lookups, and alert notifications.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client IT architecture, business operations, and ongoing modernization initiatives.
  • Cultivate trusted advisory relationships with technical leaders by providing expert technical guidance and strategic recommendations.
  • Design and refine technology roadmaps and strategies to ensure alignment with client enterprise objectives.
  • Present and defend technical perspectives with clarity and confidence in both individual and team settings.
  • Oversee daily extract operations, monitor performance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure reliable, high-performing data services.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Obtaining and maintaining a Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years in data engineering, ETL, or enterprise data integration roles.
  • Proven expertise in migrating large-scale data extracts to cloud platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, and Azure data services (e.g., Data Lake, Synapse).
  • Strong understanding of extract processes, task scheduling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting enterprise data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub and workflow automation tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting initiatives within government health agencies.
  • Proficiency in Jira for workflow management and collaboration.
  • Experience in enterprise technology design and future-state architecture planning.
  • Strong presentation skills, including the ability to convey technical solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $110K-$140k.

This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
