Role : Data Governance
Location : Phoenix , AZ (5 days Onsite)
Contract role : 1+ year Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology teams to understand data flows, sourcing, and usage
- Implement data governance policies including data lifecycle, classification, and controls
- Identify, assess, and mitigate data risks across customer, partner, and operational data
- Manage data lineage and data quality initiatives across systems
- Ensure governance of third-party data exchanges with proper controls and compliance
- Support setup of ADS, SOR, SOO, and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) with clear ownership
- Ensure compliance with data retention and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed governance in platforms and APIs
- Support data incident management, root cause analysis, and remediation
- Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to track data quality and governance maturity
- Promote data governance awareness and accountability across teams
Requirements
- 9+ years of experience in Data Governance / Data Management / Data Risk / Data Controls
- Experience in top financial services organizations (preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Data lifecycle
- Data lineage
- Data quality
- Metadata and data ownership
- Experience working with complex data systems and third-party integrations
- Hands-on experience implementing data governance frameworks and controls
- Good knowledge of data retention and regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as CDMP / DCAM / DAMA
- Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Manta)
- Familiarity with MDM, ADS concepts, and enterprise data architecture
- Experience with APIs, digital platforms, and partner ecosystems
- Knowledge of Tableau / Power BI
- Experience in travel, hospitality, or digital platforms
Pay: $65,605.40 - $79,008.65 per year
